基于主题意义的整体教学——六年级英语备课组集体备课活动

按照学校教研工作计划,定于 12月 13日(周三)上午第三节课开展主题为“6AUnit8 Chinese New Year”的集体备课活动,12月13日早上第三节课在第一会议室集体备课。请全体英语教师调整好自身课务,提前围绕主题思考,并准时参加活动。

李艳:义务教育英语课程标准(2022 年版)》指出:“学生对主题意义的探究应是学习语言最重要的内容,教师要强化素养立意,围绕单元主题,充分挖掘育人价值,确立单元育人目标和教育主线;深入解读和分析单元内各语篇及相关教学资源,并结合学生的认知逻辑和生活经验,对单元内容进行必要的整合或重组,建立单元内各语篇内容及语篇育人功能之间的联系,形成具有整合性、关联性、发展性的单元育人蓝图;引导学生基于对各语篇内容的学习和主题意义的探究,逐步构建和生成围绕单元主题的深层认知、态度和价值判断,促进其核心素养综合表现的达成。
张韵雯:但是反观课堂实践,小学英语单元整体教学成绩斐然,但仍面临一些困境,主要呈现如下三类现状。经验挟裹下的认知偏差:单元整体割裂,教材机械叠加;教学设计中的呈现错位:单元目标离散,教学重点不明;教学过程时的缺失断裂:单元评价随意,课堂负性表征。
李娟:纵观小学英语教材体系,链接与主题相关的单元内容。我们看到学生在五年级时已经接触过一些中国传统节日和西方节日并学会了日期的表达,因此在本节课中累积了食物与活动类词汇,在本节课还需渗透中国香港的传统文化。由此可见,当下学生对介绍计划活动,以及出行时间等问答,已经具备了一定的知识储备。
秦莹莹:教师以主题为引领,解构单元内容,梳理课时语篇脉络,在重组和整合后,搭建具有整体性和结构化的单元内容框架图。各课时语篇从不同角度谈论计划,各语篇与单元主题间、各语篇间相互关联构成三个子主题,即“Before Chinese New Year””On the first day of Chinese New Year””On the second day of Chinese New Year”。各课时围绕单元主题和子主题展开,语言学习渗透在对语篇主题意义的探究中,层层递进的学习活动有助于学生形成基于主题的结构化知识。
樊丽丽:本单元的教学目标、整合重组后的课时安排与子主题、践行英语学习活动观的单元教学活动设计,每一个课时所指向的小观念如表2所示。学生在大单元学习中,在子任务的实践过程中,深化对主题意义的认知,形成未雨绸缪,计划先行。合理安排,在做中学的正确价值观。
周凯丽:本节课是六年级上册第八单元Story time环节,此部分是以邮件形式介绍春节的一篇文章。由于是熟悉的话题,学生在对文章的理解上相对比较容易。但大量新单词和新句型的出现,却又对学生完全理解文章有一定的阻碍作用。基于此文章高度的条理性,教师选择列提纲和关键词的方式教学,不但对提高学生的阅读效果意义重大,而且能够提高学生自主阅读的能力。
在课堂教学中,教师有目的、有计划、有组织地面对全班进行教学,通过课堂教学,可以加强学生的语言基础知识的运用,培养正确的阅读方法,使学生养成良好的阅读习惯,从而提高阅读理解能力。狠抓词汇关是必不可少的环节。除此之外,让学生带着问题或课后练习理解文章也非常重要。许多实践证明,无论是课内还是课外,让学生带着任务去阅读的有效性是毋庸置疑的。因此,给学生课外拓展语篇的同时应给予一定的任务,如:(1)给语篇取个小标题。(2)回答与语篇相关的几个问题。(3)联系上下文猜几个生词的词义。
通过这次研讨,大家意识到在基于主题意义探究的单元整体教学实施中,教师要思考如何对学情进行充分了解,对教材进行整体解读,以探究主题意义。然后以单元为单位,教师要整合教学内容,制定总目标和课时目标,践行学思结合、用创为本和英语学习活动观,将碎片零散的语言知识串成线、连成片、织成网,形成整体的单元知识体系,促进学生核心素养的提高,落实立德树人的育人目标。
